The SIFA LACS House System is a dynamic and exciting way to build a positive school environment for students and staff.

The House System aims to:

  1. Build leadership, collaboration, and school-wide unity.
  2. Encourage application of academic knowledge to real-world and cultural challenges.
  3. Promote innovation through STEAM integration.
  4. Strengthen responsibility, discipline, and participation through house activities.
  5. Inspire pride in cultural heritage while engaging global issues.

The creation of our six Houses provides our students with a culture of belonging and collaboration within their assorted houses (Guma Ayuyu, Guma Gåmson, Guma Tataga’, and Guma Haggan, Guma Tuninos, Guma Låggua). Students will be placed in their designated House at the beginning of the school year. Students will remain in their house as long as they are enrolled at SIFA. Educational Facilitators are assigned as House Advisors.

House System is inspired by the American Educator and TV Personality,
Ron Clark.

Testimonials

Being a part of Guma’ Ayuyu taught me that strength comes in so many different forms not just the physical stuff.

I represented my HOUSE in a face-off, and I was small, but I am the loudest, and we showed the school that you can never give up and big things can come from small sizes.

HOUSE has always been around, but this year is like the BEST version like ever! I like how we get to be who we are, and they let us be as creative as we want to be, and they listen, like really listen, to what we want to do and how we want to run our HOUSE. Guma’ Gåmson for life!
